The new Ferrari 296 Challenge made its dynamic UK debut at the Snetterton race circuit during the third round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli UK. Current Ferrari Challenge UK and Club Challenge drivers had the exclusive opportunity to test this latest model, which is set to compete in the one-make series next season.

Drivers eagerly anticipated the debut of the first-ever V6 Ferrari Challenge car, which boasts up to 700 CV. Derived from the award-winning 2.9L V6 engine in the 296 GTB, the race car excludes the hybrid system of the road car, resulting in a 140kg weight reduction.

The new aero package, generating 870kg of downforce at 250 km/h, received high praise for its 18% improvement over the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo. Additionally, the new CCM-R PLUS brake discs, inspired by Formula 1 technology, set a new standard for performance in carbon-ceramic brakes.

Drivers will have further opportunities to test the Ferrari 296 Challenge during the final two races of the Ferrari Challenge UK 2024 season:

Circuit
Date
Donington 20 – 21 July 2024
Silverstone 13 – 15 September 2024

This dynamic debut marks an exciting step for Ferrari as it continues to innovate and enhance performance in its dedicated racing series.
